Master of Science in International Hotel Management

Overview

The Master of Science in International Hotel Management is a 9-month program that combines practical, hands-on hotel management experience with the latest thinking in operations, marketing, talent development, and leadership. The program is designed to give students the skills, knowledge, confidence, and network to succeed in the hotel industry.


Academic Structure

The program consists of three semesters:


  • Semester 1: Practical experience in hotel operations, including rooms, housekeeping, front desk, and food & beverage. Students will also learn financial, operational, and people management skills and test them in a theoretical scenario using a virtual hotel.
  • Short Semester 2: Learn about strategy, asset management, sustainability, and events, and tackle an applied business capstone project. The semester also includes a field trip to Dubai, where students will see how high-quality hotels operate in the real world and take advantage of networking opportunities.
  • Semester 3: A 6-month professional internship in one of the industry's most sought-after brands, providing an opportunity to apply everything learned in class.

Admission Requirements

  • Intakes: Spring and Fall
  • Minimum age: 21
  • Education: A Bachelor's degree is required.
  • Work experience: Relevant work experience is preferable, but not required.
  • English level: If English is not the first language, or if the student has not spent the last two years studying in an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, please enclose a copy of one of the following:
    • IELTS: overall 6.0 and min. 5.5 in every sub-component
    • TOEFL: Internet-based 80
    • First Cambridge Exam: Grade A (minimum 180 points)
    • Cambridge Advanced Exam: Grade C (minimum 180 points)
    • Duolingo: 115 with no component under 105
