Overview
The Bachelor of Science in Global Hospitality Management is a four-year program that combines academic and practical training to prepare students for a career in the hospitality industry. The program is accredited as a Bachelor of Science (BSc) and is designed to provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the hospitality industry, including its operational, financial, and marketing aspects.
Academic Structure
The program consists of eight semesters, including a Practical Arts semester, two six-month professional internships, and four academic semesters. The last year includes a choice of career-focused specializations.
Practical Semester
The Practical Arts semester is designed to provide students with hands-on experience in the hospitality industry. Students will learn about core operational areas, including guest relations, food and beverage, and hotel operations. They will also create and operate their own real-life restaurant concept and develop their communication and numerical skills.
Professional Internships
The two six-month professional internships provide students with the opportunity to gain practical experience in the hospitality industry. Students will be placed in operational environments, where they will deploy the skills and competencies they learned in their first semester.
Academic Semesters
The four academic semesters cover core academic and business content, including hospitality financial accounting, data analysis, marketing, and management. Students will also learn about sustainability, innovation, and entrepreneurship.

Minimum Age
17 years old
Education
- International Baccalaureate Diploma
- Swiss Diplomas – Maturité gymnasiale/fédérale/professionnelle/spécialisée: successful completion
- A-Levels
- French Baccalauréat Diplomas
- Senior American high school diploma or equivalent

Hospitality Work Experience
Students with work experience may be eligible for exemption from the Hospitality Experiential Year, which is designed to meet the Swiss admission requirement of one year of relevant work experience.
English Level
If English is not the student's first language, or if they have not spent the last two years studying in a school where English is the primary language of instruction, please enclose a copy of one of the following:
- International English Language Test (IELTS): 5.5 overall (min. 5.0 in every subcomponent)
- Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Internet-based 70 or paper-based 525
- First Cambridge Exam: Grade C
- Duolingo 110 with no component under 100
