Certificate Awarded: Advanced Certificate in Cognitive Neuroscience
The Psychology Department offers two advanced certificates. The Cognitive Neuroscience Advanced Certificate can be obtained by students enrolled in the PhD Program for Integrative Neuroscience or Cognitive Science.
Certificate Requirements
Integrative Neuroscience students must take 3 of the following courses from the Cognitive Science Area:
- PSY 513 - Theories of Attention (3 credits)
- PSY 516 - Judgment and Decision Making (3 credits)
- PSY 518 - Memory (3 credits)
- PSY 520 - Psycholinguistics (3 credits)
Cognitive Science students must take 3 of the following courses from the Integrative Neuroscience Area:
- PSY 561 - Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience I (3 credits)
- PSY 562 - Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience II (3 credits)
- PSY 565 - Functional Neuroanatomy (3 credits)
- PSY 560 - Human Brain Function (3 credits)
- PSY 610 - Seminars in Selected Topics (0-3 credits)
- PSY 620 - Seminars in Selected Topics (0-3 credits)
