The Australian Government oversees Registered Training Organisations to ensure that quality standards of education and awarding qualifications meet the requirements of the Australian Qualifications Framework. Therefore, Australian Health and Management Institute is responsible for the quality of training and assessment, student support services and the issuance of Australian Qualifications Framework certification on completion of a course.

CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care
Course Description
The Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care reflects the role of workers in a range of early childhood education settings who work within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard. They support the implementation of an approved learning framework, and support children’s wellbeing, learning and development. Depending on the setting, educators may work under direct supervision or autonomously.
Course Structure
CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care consists of seventeen (17) units of competency, comprising 15 core units and 2 elective units, in accordance with the packaging rules.

Entry Requirements
- International Students must be 18 years of age at the time of enrolment.
- Academic Entry Requirements: Year 12 or equivalent of Australian HSC.
- English Language Entry Requirements: IELTS score 6.0 (with no bands less than 5.5) or equivalent Pearson Test of English (PTE).
- English Language Entry Requirements: IELTS score 5.5 overall (with no band less than 5.0) or equivalent Pearson Test of English (PTE)
Mandatory Work Placement
- Students may request Australian Health and Management Institute to organise their work placement or they may find their own mandatory work placement.
- In the event the student has selected the work placement, Australian Health and Management Institute staff undertakes a work place suitability assessment prior to approval
- All students are required to evidence the following documentation prior to undertaking mandatory work placement
- Current and satisfactory police check
- Working with Children Check
- Current First Aid Certificate

Education Pathways
- After successfully achieving CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care, candidates may undertake CHC50121 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care.
Exit Point/Award
- Students that successfully complete all 17 units of competency as stated in the Course Structure will be issued with CHC30121 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care.
- This qualification is recognised nationally under the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF)
- Students that complete some but not all of the units of competency as stated in the Course Structure may be issued with a Statement of Attainment.
- It will identify only those units of competence that have been completed as part of the qualification and recognised nationally under the AQF.
