Program Description
Enroll in Highline College's Administrative Assistant certificate program and you will learn valuable technology and office management skills you need to succeed in today's competitive work environment. With a variety of business technology courses, this one-year certificate will help you get the well-rounded education you need to excel in this exciting field. In addition to learning specific technology skills, students will learn effective business communication, applied business math and basic accounting, leadership, supervision, and team building skills.

Program Outcomes
- Apply office technology and critical thinking skills to address and support business needs.
- Correctly use components of Microsoft Office programs to create professional and academic documents.
- Demonstrate using the keyboard by touch, using correct fingering on letters, numbers, and symbols, using correct ergonomic technique.
- Write business correspondence using current business industry formats.
- Use Microsoft Word to format, proofread, and edit professional business documents such as reports, tables, meeting & event materials, and business letters.
- Accurately construct effective documents pertinent to a job search.
- Recognize and reproduce customer service skills for internal and external customers that meets or exceeds industry standards.
