Information Systems Project Coordinator, Networking Specialization, AAS

Program Description

Highline College’s Information Systems Project Coordinator program prepares the student for an entry-level position as a supervisory/project manager in the Networking field. Project Coordinators provide day-to-day administration of projects and ensure that services or products are delivered in a timely, cost-effective, and qualitative manner. Students should currently be working in or have supervisory/managerial skills gained in a commercial environment. The program will equip students with the tools and skills required in becoming a proficient Project Coordinator of IT projects.

Program Outcomes

  • Demonstrate proficient knowledge of networking equipment, configuration, and addressing.
  • Implement a LAN with Microsoft and/or Linux servers and workstations adding management of users, e-mail, Websites, and network resources.
  • Secure access and protect the data in a network server.
  • Manage a complex project from start to finish, both individually and in teams.
  • Effectively use technology to identify resources to solve networking issues, troubleshoot problems, and remain current in the technology field.
  • Communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, both in speech and written documents.
