Shawn Hansen ’16, the wet clay instructor at the Firestone, uses his expertise to craft conceptual ceramic pieces that highlight and raise awareness about public health disparities.

What You’ll Learn

• Develop a background in art history and gain an understanding of what artists are doing today.
• Make dinnerware, blow glass, do silkscreen, take digital photography, and sketch live models.
• Display your work in shows in the Foreman Gallery, around campus, or in the community.
• Dive into hands-on experiences by joining the College’s Clay Club, or earn recognition by being inducted into Kappa Pi, the International Art Honor Society.
