Bachelor in Computer Science – Security and Continuity of IT

Knowledge you acquire

Program curriculum

Computer Science, bachelor (7 semesters, degree awarded: bachelor in engineering):

• General knowledge courses: mathematics, physics, electrical engineering, basics of computer science, algorithms and data structures.
• Specialized courses: databases, software engineering, artificial intelligence methods, operating systems, computer networks.

Computer Science, master (4 semesters, degree awarded: master):

• General knowledge courses: databases and data warehouses, advanced numerical methods, computer arithmetic and automata theory.
• Specialized courses: infrastructure and cloud services, integrated management systems, design and modeling of information systems using UML.

Practical education

At the WSB University we believe that knowledge should go hand in hand with practice. That is why over 80% of our IT teachers have practical experience! You will be taught by certified experts, including Cisco, Amazon Web Services or Microsoft. During your studies you will be able to prepare for obtaining recognized certificates such as AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner. We work with the best experts - lectures, exercises, training and workshops are conducted by experts of Microsoft, Fujitsu, IBM, Netology, CloudTeam, VRTechnology and many others. During our regular meeting sessions with such experts you will be able to personally meet and talk to interesting people who will share their knowledge and practical experience with you.

Accreditation

Our study program is regularly consulted with the representatives of business sector - including some of the largest IT companies so that our students can be sure that after graduating from IT program, they will gain knowledge, skills and competences that are a guarantee of successful career in IT.

We also ask students of the final semesters and recent graduates about their feedback on the study program. Through such activities, we are both able to adjust the didactic offer to the needs of our students and also make them have a real influence on designing the study program. These actions bring some tangible results as our Computer Science engineering program has received the prestigious accreditation of the Accreditation Committee of Technical Universities (KAUT) and EUR-ACE Label - an international quality certificate awarded to engineering programs. We are the second private university in the country that succeeded in being awarded KAUT and EUR-ACE certificates for the engineering faculty. We received this accreditation for the longest possible period which is 5 years (until February 2026) which confirms that studying Computer Science at WSB University is the best possible choice.
