Overview

The Grado en Fisioterapia + Graduate Course in Biomedicine and Humanities for Physiotherapy is a five-year program that combines the study of physiotherapy with a graduate course in biomedicine and humanities. The program is designed to provide students with a range of competencies, including:

• General competencies:
  • To understand the fundamental features of European civilization.
  • To know and understand the theological context, interdisciplinary nature and structural principles that form the basis for the contribution of the modern Social Doctrine of the Church, in its theoretical, systematic, normative and practical dimensions.
• Specific competencies:
  • To know and understand the morphology, physiology, pathology and behaviour of both healthy and ill individuals in the natural and social environment.
  • To know and understand the sciences, models, techniques and instruments which form the basis for the practice of physiotherapy.
  • To know and understand the physiotherapeutic methods, procedures and actions used to facilitate rehabilitation and functional recovery in clinical practice and those for health promotion activities.
