Online Pre-sessional English

Description

Improve your English language skills to the level required by your City St George's, University of London degree, from anywhere in the world. This intensive programme offers progress of 0.5–1.0 IELTS points per term (depending on course length).

You’ll increase your confidence in English reading, writing, listening and speaking – both in social and academic settings – with a focus on subject-specific vocabulary and study skills.

Our online course is highly interactive, offering the same expert teaching and high standards as our in-person classes. If you prefer to learn face-to-face, we also offer an on-campus Pre-sessional English course.

Academic Requirements

• Offer of a place on a degree at City, University of London including Bayes Business School Undergraduate degrees. Students aiming for postgraduate study at Bayes Business School are not eligible.

English Language Requirements

• IELTS 5.5 (with a minimum of 5 in any subskill and a 5.5 in writing) or equivalent

All students who confirm their offer on or before 31 January 2026 will pay the 2025/2026 price as per their existing offer letter. After 31 January 2026, where tuition fees have increased, all current offers will be reissued and students will receive a new offer with the new 2026/2027 pricing.
