Are you eager to pursue a master’s degree but unsure if your bachelor’s background meets the admission requirements? At Gisma, we offer the perfect solution to bridge that gap and set you up for success.

Our Premasters Programme, also known in Germany as the Brückensemester, is designed for students whose undergraduate degree might not fully align with the criteria for our master’s programmes. This 30 ECTS semester provides you with the essential concepts and skills needed to thrive in your chosen field of study.

Whether your bachelor’s is in a different area or you simply want to strengthen your foundation, the Premasters programme will equip you with the tools you need to excel. Take the first step toward your master’s and unlock your potential!

The Premasters Programme offers you the opportunity to:

Tailored learning paths: You’ll follow one of two specialised pathways—Business or Technology—depending on your chosen Master’s degree.
Seamless transition: Benefit from a smooth shift into on-campus Master’s studies in Germany, fully prepared and confident.
Achieve a Certificate of Credit: Upon successful completion, you’ll receive a certificate recognising your academic achievement (though the Premasters itself is not an individual award programme).

From Premasters to Masters: Your Pathway to Success

Our Premasters Programme is your launchpad to a successful master’s journey. Over six months, you’ll engage in a well-structured programme designed to build the critical skills and knowledge needed for your future master’s studies in Business or Computer Science.

Each module requires around 125 hours of learning, aligning with 25 hours per 1 ECTS credit, including a dynamic mix of lectures, tutorials, group work, independent study, and assessments. You’ll dive deep into the core content while developing the academic habits that will serve you in your master’s degree.

Upon completing the Premasters, you’ll earn a Certificate of Attainment for your hard work. Though it’s not a standalone award, this certificate is a testament to your academic achievement and readiness to take on more advanced studies.

Depending on your intended master’s programme, you’ll be placed into either the Business Pathway or the Tech Pathway, ensuring that your learning is tailored to the exact needs of your chosen field. With this solid foundation, you’ll confidently transition into your master’s studies, fully prepared to excel!
