About this Micro-Credential
The Micro-Credential aims to enhance students’ ability to think strategically, evaluate organisational situations from a strategic perspective, and make sound strategic decisions. It covers strategic analysis, development of alternatives, ethically sustainable competitive advantage, and strategies for implementation and evaluation. Additionally, this qualification emphasises innovative and responsible strategy, integrating various skills to contribute to overall general management themes. It explores key topics related to strategy, including competitive strategies, industry and organisational environments, and different business scenarios, with a focus on real-world case studies to develop competencies in strategic analysis and implementation. You will also examine the situation of an innovative firm seeking to identify and implement new initiatives. Overall, this Micro-Credential provides a comprehensive understanding of strategic decision-making in a dynamic business environment.
Entry Profile
- Typically, all applicants will:
- Possess a good first degree awarded by a UK university or overseas equivalent.
- Be able to communicate ideas effectively in writing, in discussions and presentations. Basic IT skills, such as word-processing, email and Internet are expected.
- Have work experience; we value diversity of experience in our student body, therefore we welcome applications from recent graduates who have undertaken meaningful placements as well as those with all levels of work experience. We are more interested in the impact that you have had in your workplace than the length of time spent.
- English Language Requirements:
- An overall IELTS test result of 6.5, including a minimum of 6.0 in all sub-tests. Equivalent awards will be considered (e.g. Pearson’s Test of English, Cambridge Certificate of Advanced English, Duolingo English Test, City & Guilds International ESOL 8984, or the TOEFL- IBT test of English proficiency).
