Your degree can be completed in as few as 1.5 years. You can choose from two different delivery options:


  • Traditional face-to-face courses at New York Tech’s Vancouver campus.
  • Online asynchronous courses that you can complete on your own schedule (Canadian citizens or permanent residents only).

You can also select from two different paths to completion:


  • Course-based : 30 Credits: 7 Required Courses (21) + 2 Electives (6) + 1 Project (3) + Professional Practice (0)
  • Thesis-based : 30 Credits: 4 Required Courses (12) + 2 Elective (6) + 4 Thesis (12) + Professional Practice (0)

The program’s innovative, interdisciplinary curriculum, taught by experienced faculty, can be completed in less than two years. With the option to transfer between our New York and Vancouver campuses, financial aid availability for Canadian citizens and permanent residents, and career planning services on campus, New York Tech supports your professional growth every step of the way.

Admission Requirements

You must possess the following credentials in order to be considered* for the Cybersecurity, MS program at New York Tech Vancouver:


  • Four–year bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited college or university in computer science or a related field.
  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
  • Minimum GRE score of 295 (if required).
  • Proof of English language proficiency or successful completion of the University Pathway Program from one of our partner schools.

Students in New York Tech Vancouver’s Master of Science in Cybersecurity program can have the CSCI 651 – Algorithm Concepts course requirement waived if they meet certain requirements.
