Program Overview
Introduction
The programme aims to equip students with advanced and comprehensive knowledge in International Law and Human Rights Law, including the foundational principles of public international law, international and regional human rights regimes, and mechanisms. It will deepen and broaden students' academic understanding of law by fostering systematic knowledge of legal processes, methods, and concepts, while contextualising these within the social, political, and theoretical frameworks in which legal systems operate. Teaching
Classes are held at our Dubai Knowledge Park campus on weekdays (Monday to Friday) from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Occasional weekend or holiday sessions may also be scheduled with prior notice. Most modules include one session per week, with exceptions noted in the timetable. For the Dissertation, you'll work independently. The programme involves a mix of learning and assessment methods, emphasising active participation and collaboration, both in-person and online. You'll engage with peers in group work and classroom activities, as well as through digital platforms. Technology plays a key role in supporting your learning. Faculty will use online tools like My Learning on MyMDX, podcasts, and wikis to provide flexible access to resources, activities, and collaborative tools. This e-learning approach helps build essential skills such as communication, teamwork, and digital literacy-valued by employers. Each module includes a handbook outlining teaching methods, assessments, and resources. You’ll benefit from expert staff with both academic and industry experience.
Work While You Study
Evening classes are designed to fit around a busy lifestyle, making it possible to work during the day while pursuing your studies. This flexible schedule allows you to gain valuable professional experience or manage personal commitments alongside your academic goals. It’s an ideal situation for those looking to advance their education without putting their career or daily routine on hold.
