MA Education (Learning and Teaching)
The MA Education (Learning and Teaching) programme investigates the structure of learning within our education systems and challenges thinking about how learning takes place in schools and colleges. This programme is designed for those who are interested in exploring ways of developing high-quality learning and teaching where students are empowered to take responsibility for their learning.
Programme Overview
The programme addresses the connection between learning and teaching and investigates various evidence-based pedagogical approaches to connect the two. Students will critically examine selected theory and practice of aspects of learning and teaching which meet the professional needs of their contexts.

Social Pedagogy
This module considers education as something which individuals, groups, and societies can experience throughout their life. It invites students to consider education as something that happens both beyond and within institutions.
Learning and Teaching for Engagement and Success
This module aims to introduce theories and techniques to facilitate high-quality education for a diverse range of students. It will engage with ideas around both successful teaching and what develops engaged, motivated, and happy learners.

Entry Requirements
- Academic Requirements: Minimum second-class honours degree (UK) or above, or overseas equivalent qualification
- English Language Requirements: IELTS Academic 6.5 (with 6.0 in each component), TOEFL Internet-based 79, Pearson PTE Academic 59, or Dubai Campus MDX Internal English Test 6.5 (with 6.0 in each component)
Teaching
Classes are held at the Dubai Knowledge Park campus on weekdays from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. Occasional weekend or holiday sessions may also be scheduled with prior notice.

Tuition Fees
- Yearly Fees - January 26: 74,263 (all tuition fees inclusive of VAT)
- Yearly Fees - September 26: 76,490 (all tuition fees inclusive of VAT)
Postgraduate Study Grant
All postgraduate students are eligible for a minimum 10% Postgraduate Study Grant.
