Introduction to the LLB Honours Law with Criminology Programme

Entry Requirements

The entry requirements for the LLB Honours Law with Criminology programme include:


  • Indian Secondary School Certificates / CBSE: minimum grade of 70% overall
  • British A-Levels: minimum Two or Three with grades AA / BBB
  • GCSE: students who have completed their GCSEs are eligible to join the International Foundation Programme
  • International Baccalaureate: minimum 28 points overall
  • American High School Diploma: minimum GPA of 2.8, with SAT scores of 1100 or an ACT composite score of 23
  • Tawjihiyya (Secondary School Certificate): students who have completed the Tawjihiyya will be eligible to apply for the International Foundation Programme
  • Pakistani National Curriculum: completion of Year 1 at a recognised post-secondary institution
  • Iranian Pre-University Certificate: minimum overall grade of 12
  • Nigerian Senior School Leaving Certificate: candidates are admitted to the International Foundation Programme
  • National Curriculum of the countries of Russia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan: candidates are admitted to the International Foundation Programme
  • West African/Nigerian Curriculum: candidates are admitted to the International Foundation Programme
  • BTEC Level 3: BTEC Level 3 qualifications may be considered for direct entry into an undergraduate programme
  • Middlesex University International Foundation Programme (IFP): successful completion of the Middlesex University International Foundation Programme
  • NCUK Foundation Qualification: if you have a foundation qualification from NCUK, you can contact the admissions team directly to understand entry requirement eligibility for this programme

English Language Requirements

The English language requirements for the LLB Honours Law with Criminology programme include:


  • IELTS Academic: 6.0 (minimum 5.5 in each band)
  • TOEFL Internet-based: 72 (17 in listening & writing, 20 in speaking and 18 in reading)
  • Pearson PTE Academic: 59 (with 59 in all components)

  • GCSE/1GCSE/0-Level English (as a first or second language): Grade C or 4 if taken in England since September 2016

Teaching and Learning

Classes are held at the Dubai Knowledge Park campus, Monday to Friday, between 8:30am and 5:30pm. The programme requires active involvement and collaboration with fellow students, including working and learning as part of small groups. Students will be involved in a range of learning, teaching, and assessment approaches, and will have the opportunity to develop their skills in legal research, writing, and presentation.


Future Career and Employment

The LLB Honours Law with Criminology is especially suitable for students interested in pursuing a career within a commercial legal practice or employed in in-house legal services. Graduates may also choose to continue into further study on courses such as the Legal Practice Course (LPC), the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC), or a Master's degree in law.
