International Business Management MSc
Overview
Our MSc in International Business Management prepares you for a huge variety of business roles in a global context, whether you're interested in entrepreneurship, global innovation, corporate strategy, consultancy, or multinational management. Our staff and students are drawn from all over the world with widely varied expertise, making this MSc a truly international programme.
The course looks toward future trends in business, from the changing role of business in society to the impact that rapidly evolving technology has on business in a global context. We train you to be mobile across different markets in high-tech, knowledge-intensive industries; remain flexible in the face of technological change, and maintain an international outlook as the world evolves.
You'll learn about the way businesses can adapt to new challenges, from the importance of sustainability in the face of climate change to the rise of robotics and the Internet of Things.
Based in University Square Stratford, close to the commercial and financial centres of the City of London and Canary Wharf, you will benefit from fantastic facilities in a purpose-built learning environment.
The course is designed to resonate with people from a variety of backgrounds, so you won't need to have specific academic or work experience. Throughout the degree, you will develop crucial analytical, research, and communication skills as you work on projects with your fellow students and undertake your own original research. Our personal tutoring scheme also gives you access to bespoke academic advice and exciting industry opportunities.

Entry Requirements
Academic Requirements
- Bachelor's degree with minimum Second Class (2:2) or equivalent in any subject from a recognised institution.
- Level 7 BTEC Extended Diploma in Strategic Management and Leadership with no fails.
International Qualifications
We accept a wide range of European and international qualifications in addition to A-levels, the International Baccalaureate and BTEC qualifications.
English Language Requirements
- Overall IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing, Speaking, Reading and Listening (or recognised equivalent).
- If you do not meet the academic English language requirements for your course, you may be eligible to enrol onto a pre-sessional English course.
Mature Applicants and Those Without Formal Qualifications
As an inclusive university, we recognise those who have been out of education for some time may not have the formal qualifications usually required. We welcome applications from those who can demonstrate their enthusiasm and commitment to study and have the relevant life/work experience that equips them to succeed on the course.
Fees, Funding, and Additional Costs
Fees
- EU, EEA and Swiss Nationals starting a course from September 2021, will no longer be eligible for Home fees.
- Tuition fees are subject to annual change.
Funding
- Postgraduate Loans Scheme: £10,280 to fund your Masters Programme under the Postgraduate Loans (PGL) scheme.
- Postgraduate Scholarship: Apply for a 50 per cent discount on your tuition fees.
- Alumni Discount: up to 15% fee waiver (exclusions apply).
- Early Payment Discount: 5% fee waiver.
- Asylum Seekers scholarship: 100% fee waiver.
- Civic Engagement: £1,000.
- Hardship Bursary: up to £2,000.
- Sport Scholarships: Up to £6,000.
Additional Costs
- Textbooks: You may prefer to, or be required to, buy your own copy of key textbooks.
- Computer equipment: You may find it useful to have your own PC, laptop or tablet which you can use around campus and in halls of residences.
- Printing: Printing and photocopying costs are not included in your tuition fees.
- Travel: Travel costs are not included but we do have a free intersite bus service which links the campuses and halls of residence.
Placement Year
This course offers you the option of a work placement. It's not compulsory but will give you extra credits. You will get professional experience in the workplace, build connections, and perhaps improve your academic performance. It will look good on your CV and help your job prospects.
