Overview

The BA (Hons) Education Top Up allows those with sub-degree qualifications to progress into the second year (level 5) or final year (level 6) of the BA (Hons) Education Studies degree programme.

  • Academic requirements:
    • Higher National Diploma (HND) or Foundation Degree in a relevant subject.
    • For credits gained through HE-certificated study:
      • For level 5/Education Top Up year 1 entry - 120 level 4 credits with research knowledge in an appropriate education/training relevant context
      • For level 6/Education Top Up year 2 entry - 120 level 4 and 120 level 5 credits in an appropriate education/training relevant context with research knowledge.
  • International qualifications:
    • For level 5/Education Top Up year 1 entry - 120 level 4 credits with research knowledge in an appropriate education/training relevant context
    • For level 6/Education Top Up year 2 entry - 120 level 4 and 120 level 5 credits in an appropriate education/training relevant context with research knowledge.
  • English Language requirements:
    • IELTS 6.0 with a minimum of 6.0 in Writing and Speaking; 5.5 in Listening and Reading (or recognised equivalent).

• Assessment: 100% Course work including presentations.
• Feedback: We aim to provide feedback on assessments within 15 working days, although you will receive immediate feedback following many of our face-to-face assessments.
