Project Management with Digital Technology MSc

Overview

This MSc course in Project Management with Digital Technology is designed to give you the opportunity to develop specialist knowledge in how to manage multidisciplinary organisations in the construction industry from different perspectives, such as that of a client, a contractor, a designer, and a supplier.


You will develop management skills and a critically reflective practice in construction, applying theory into practice in the field of the construction industry.


On this programme, you will learn to maximise management skills and capability to work in an international environment.


You will maximise your range of skills and knowledge in the area of construction and engineering, such as in project management, procurement and digital technology, Information Communication technology, managing strategy, operations and partnerships.


This course is also available as a two-year Masters with an industrial placement year.

Entry Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with minimum Second Class (2:2) in any Construction related subject, Law or Business Management.
  • International Qualifications: We accept a wide range of European and international qualifications in addition to A-levels, the International Baccalaureate and BTEC qualifications.

English Language Requirements

  • Overall IELTS 6.0 with minimum 6.0 in writing and speaking, and 5.5 in listening and reading (or recognised equivalent)
  • If you do not meet the academic English language requirements for your course, you may be eligible to enrol onto a pre-sessional English course.

Mature Applicants and Those Without Formal Qualifications

  • As an inclusive university, we recognise those who have been out of education for some time may not have the formal qualifications usually required.
  • We welcome applications from those who can demonstrate their enthusiasm and commitment to study and have the relevant life/work experience that equips them to succeed on the course.

Placement Year

  • This course offers you the option of a work placement.
  • The industrial placement is designed to address the demands of the profession and give you a competitive edge when it comes to your career.
  • The placement component is up to 12 months in duration, which starts after you have successfully completed the taught modules, and before the dissertation stage.
