Mechanical Engineering BEng (Hons)

Overview

Our BEng (Hons) in Mechanical Engineering combines mathematics, science, technology, and management. Develop a robust understanding of general engineering principles and valuable transferable skills. Learn about industry-standard techniques. You will study computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and finite element analysis (FEA). You will focus on specifying, designing, and analysing mechanical engineering systems.

Entry Requirements

Academic Requirements

  • FROM A LEVEL
    • Including passes at A2 in at least two subjects. Must include Maths and Physics or Electronics
  • FROM BTEC
    • Extended Diploma or Diploma in a related subject. Must include distinctions in both Mathematics and Further Mathematics.
  • FROM INTERNATIONAL BACCALAUREATE
    • Diploma with 27 points including a minimum of 15 points at Higher Level and must include Maths and Physics at Higher Level

  • 64 UCAS points from an equivalent Level 3 qualification listed on the UCAS tariff calculator, including:
