Program Overview
Program Overview
Braemar College offers two summer programs: the Summer Elite Teen program and the Summer Program.
Summer Elite Teen Program
This four-week program includes two non-credit courses from the Ontario Secondary School Curriculum. Students receive feedback from teachers for the work they submit, but do not earn credits. Trips to Canada's Wonderland, Niagara Falls, and the CN Tower can be added to the package for a small activity fee.
Summer Program
This seven-week program includes two credits from the Ontario Secondary School Curriculum, as well as fun activities and trips in and around the city. This program is a good option for students interested in testing out the idea of studying abroad. In many cases, students can extend their high school studies into the September intake, having already earned two credits in the summer.
Classes
Each school day consists of six hours of classes. Students choose two courses, taking into account the level of study achieved and the placement test results. All levels of English are available, from all-day ESL courses for absolute beginners to courses for students ready to tackle Shakespeare and Mary Shelley. Courses are also offered in math, drama, science, business, and the arts, all based on the Ontario Secondary School Curriculum.
Extracurricular
All Braemar College students are warmly invited to take part in a range of club and after-school activities at no extra cost.
Accommodation
Summer program students stay with one of our Canadian homestay families. Homestays provide students with three daily meals, a private furnished room, and internet.
