BSc Physiotherapy
Overview
The degree programme Physiotherapy is the movement therapy. The study programme prepares physiotherapists who, using the latest scientific knowledge, examine and evaluate the patient’s functional state and physical capacity, treat people recovering from injuries or illnesses with the help of movement and physical factors, return and maintain their health and physical condition.
Why Study Physiotherapy at LSMU?
- 1269 hours of clinical practice (hands-on) in: University Hospitals or/and other hospitals; Family Medicine Centers; Inpatient and Outpatient Rehabilitation Centers; Pediatric Rehabilitation Center; Students have possibility participate in activities of Lithuanian physiotherapy association
- This degree programme provides prospective professionals with extensive, complex training: not only professional but also medical subjects are taught. Students are instructed by physiotherapists with extensive clinical experience and well-known guest lecturers from foreign universities
- Advantage of the program – excellent practical training: practice is performed at the LSMU Hospital Kauno klinikos, knowledge and skills can be improved by observing various clinical cases
- The work of a physiotherapist requires qualities such as love for people, willingness to help them, ability to listen. Requires leadership qualities, constant pursuit of new professional knowledge, and ability to work in a team with other medical professionals. Physical studies are worth choosing for those who have these qualities or are determined to develop them

Admission Requirements
- High school / secondary education (or higher) Good knowledge in Chemistry and Biology
- The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English

- You must take the original entry qualification documents as well as verified copies along with you when you finally go to the university
Language Requirements
- English B1 level in English or equivalent is required. If you have taken an internationally recognized exam, please attach it to the application
