Program Overview
MSc Lifestyle Medicine
Overview
Lifestyle medicine is a 1.5-year Master's program that aims to train mediators in unifying classical community-focused public health with person-oriented health services. The program is designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to prevent and manage different risk factors, change individual behaviors related to chronic noncommunicable diseases, and work as members in medical teams, especially primary services setting, public health bureaus, and private practice.
Programme Structure
The program consists of two years, with the following modules:
- First year:
- Individual and Public Health Care and Leadership
- Chronic disease and their prevention
- Mental Health and the Basics of Patient Counselling
- Harmful Behavior and their Prevention
- Health Policy. Law, Ethics and Social Environment
- Organization of Scientific Research Work
- Nutrition and Health
- Physical Activity and Health
- Epidemiological Studies
- Second year:
- Practice
- Preparation of Master’s Thesis
Admission Requirements
- Entry qualification: Undergraduate diploma (or higher) in Biomedical Science
- Transcript of Grades shall be attached to the Bachelor’s Degree Diploma
- High School Certificate shall be provided, too
- The entry qualification documents are accepted in the following languages: English
- Language requirements: English (FCE or CAE, IELTS 5.5+ or TOEFL 69+B2 level in English or equivalent)
- Other requirements: At least 1 reference(s) should be provided
