Program Overview
Jewellery and Silversmithing Introduction Workshop
Course Overview
This introductory course will teach you fundamental jewellery making techniques using the jeweller’s saw, the art of heat control and soldering, jewellery component, chain and ring making, along with the principles of forging and doming. You will be able to create a piece of finished wearable jewellery, or small set within the 4 weeks.

Entry Requirements
- No experience necessary
- Equipment supplied - additional costs for materials
Resources Required
- Bring design ideas for discussion and note/sketch book
- Covered shoes, tied back hair and apron required
- Silver purchased directly from the teacher on the night at $5 to $8 per gram (4 - 10 grams depending on the size of the project so approx. $20 - $50 in silver)
- Other metals, such as copper and brass are $1 per gram
