Introduction to Computers and the Internet

Course Overview

This non-accredited short course is designed for individuals with little to no knowledge of computers and the internet. The course aims to provide students with the basic skills and confidence to use computers and the internet safely and effectively.


Course Details

  • Computer basics: identifying main parts of a computer, using a keyboard and mouse, and common computer terminology
  • Windows interface: managing files and folders in Windows Explorer and performing basic file operations
  • Internet basics: using WWW (World Wide Web), Email, and saving files
  • Microsoft Office basics: introduction to Microsoft Office applications
  • Students will use Windows 10 computers and Microsoft 2016
