Course Overview
The Advanced Diploma of Graphic Design is a comprehensive course that provides students with the specialized technical, creative, and conceptual skills required to provide complex design solutions. This qualification will give students the skills and knowledge to work as a professional graphic designer, with a focus on extending current knowledge in traditional areas such as typography, branding, and layout design, as well as covering trending growth areas including UI/UX design, AI-enhanced design, motion graphics, and creation of designs for digital media.

Entry Requirements
To enrol into this qualification, you must have completed CUA50720 Diploma of Graphic Design.
Resources Required
It is recommended that you have access to a reliable internet connection to access TAFE Queensland's online learning system Connect, and a computer with up-to-date software. This equipment and software are available for use at all TAFE Queensland locations.
You will also be required to have access to and bring to class some design resources and a portable external hard drive (500GB minimum). Details will be provided after enrolment or during orientation.
Assessment Methods
Skill and knowledge assessments are an essential step in progressing through your course. You may be assessed in a number of ways while you are studying at TAFE Queensland, including observation, written assessment, questioning, portfolios, work samples, third-party feedback, and through recognition of prior learning.
