Course Overview
Take the next step in your finance career with this Tax Practitioners Board (TPB) approved skill set and gain the knowledge to carry out Business Activity Statement (BAS) responsibilities.
The accounting services industry has grown over the past five years on the back of steady economic growth and increasing demand for industry-specific expertise. As the taxation office continues to enforce stricter reporting requirements, small business owners are seeking external expertise to assist with financial services.
In this course, you'll develop the skills and knowledge required to establish and maintain a payroll system. You'll also learn how to identify and apply compliance requirements to effectively process and complete business activity statements.
Successful completion of this skill set, along with a Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping or a higher level Finance qualification, plus 1000 – 1400 hours of relevant experience will allow you to seek registration as a qualified BAS agent. If you do not hold a higher level Finance qualification, it is recommended to begin with FNS40222 Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
