Practical Testing (Switchboards and Circuits)
Course Overview
This course is designed to provide qualified and apprentice electricians with practical installation testing experience in a safe simulated environment. It covers cabling selection for main, sub-mains, and final sub-circuits, including current requirements, division of circuits, voltage drop, short circuit parameters, and earth fault loop impedance requirements. It also applies Australian Standards 3000 and 3008 to the design of an electrical installation in a practical application.

- In addition to this course, you can opt to enrol in NONAC03029 Electrical Installation and Design Theory, a four-week theory course.
- These practical testing nights are optional and can be done with or without the NONAC03029 Electrical Installation and Design Theory course.
