Course Overview

This skill set promotes the development of basic design skills appropriate to para-professional participation in the design of civil engineering projects such as rural roads, sewerage, water supply, and stormwater drainage as part of an engineering design team. You will also develop expertise in the documentation of such projects to a professional level of presentation using CAD software.

• CEA1216: Civil Design and Drafting
  • Unit description: This unit promotes the development of basic design skills appropriate to para-professional participation in the design of civil engineering projects such as rural roads, sewerage, water supply, and stormwater drainage as part of an engineering design team. Students will also develop expertise in the documentation of such projects to a professional level of presentation using CAD software.

  • Have satisfactory literacy, numeracy, and digital literacy skills
• Entry into this skill set is available by direct application only.
• You must be 18 years of age or older.
