Course Overview
The ISO9606 Weld Australia Certification Test is a non-accredited short course designed for experienced welders to gain a qualification in ISO9606 Certification of Welders for Fusion Welding of Steels.
Course Outcome
Upon completion of the course, students will receive a Statement of Participation.

Entry Requirements
- Trade level experience in the chosen welding process (minimum of 5 years in the welding industry)
- Referred to TAFE Queensland by Weld Australia

- Protective clothing and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as specified
Important Information
- Students will need to have extensive welding theory knowledge and practical welding skills to meet qualification requirements
- Contact your teacher for advice if required
- The cost of this course covers the examination by TAFE Queensland, with an additional fee incurred with Weld Australia at the time of application
- Retest information: one opportunity to re-test a non-compliant weld, with non-compliance of more than one test weld marking the conclusion of the examination
