Overview

This qualification reflects the role of community services workers involved in the delivery, management, and coordination of person-centred services to individuals, groups, and communities. At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously within their scope of practice under broad directions from senior management.

Payment Terms & Conditions

• The Application fee must be paid in full prior to the issuance of a COE.
• The Commitment fee must be paid in full by students taking this course individually.
• The Resource fee must be paid in full prior to the issuance of a COE.
• The Tuition fee for First Term / Term 1 must be paid in full prior to the issuance of a COE. From Term 2 onwards, the remaining balance must be paid in equal termly instalments or as per the letter of offer.

Duration

• Total Duration: 52 weeks (40 academic weeks + 12 weeks of study breaks)
• Scheduled Classes: 2 days per week (mandatory)
• Academic Support: 1 day per week (Fridays)
• Academic Contact Hours: 20 hours per week

Entry Requirements

• CHC33021 Certificate III in Individual Support or equivalent
• Achieve at least a score of IELTS 6.0, PTE 50, TOEFL 64, CEA 169, or OET B overall test result

3. CHCCCS019 - Recognise and respond to crisis situations (2 weeks)
4. CHCCSM013 - Facilitate and review case management (2 weeks)
5. CHCDEV005 - Analyse impacts of sociological factors on people in community work and services (2 weeks)
6. CHCDFV001 - Recognise and respond appropriately to domestic and family violence (2 weeks)
7. CHCDIV001 - Work with diverse people (2 weeks)
8. CHCDIV002 - Promote Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander cultural safety (2 weeks)
9. CHCLEG003 - Manage legal and ethical compliance (2 weeks)
10. CHCMGT005 - Facilitate workplace debriefing and support processes (2 weeks)
11. CHCPRP003 - Reflect on and improve own professional practice (2 weeks)
12. HLTWHS003 - Maintain work health and safety (3 weeks)
