The Bachelor's Degree in Biomedicine is a four-year programme that trains students in cancer diagnosis and treatments. The programme has an innovative curriculum that allows students to work on real cases and do internships in leading companies both in Spain and abroad.

- CB1. Students have demonstrated knowledge and understanding in an area of study that builds on the foundation of general secondary education, usually at a level that while relying on advanced textbooks, also includes some aspects that involve knowledge acquired from the cutting edge of their field of study.
- CB2. Students know how to apply their knowledge to their work or vocation in a professional manner, and have the competencies that are usually demonstrated by preparing and defending arguments, and solving problems within their area of study.
- CB3. Students can gather and interpret relevant data (normally within their area of study) to make judgements that include reflections on relevant social, scientific and ethical issues.
- CB4. Students are able to convey information, ideas, problems and solutions to both specialist and non-specialist audiences.
- CB5. Students have developed the necessary learning skills to undertake subsequent studies with a high degree of independence.

- CT4. Influential leadership. Ability to influence others, to be able to direct or guide them towards specific objectives in times of constant change arising from the volatile, uncertain, complex and ambiguous environments (VUCA) of today’s world. Influential leaders are key points of reference, and are able to achieve high-level performance and the best results. Their generous, ethical, empathetic behaviour and high level of emotional intelligence enables them to act as role models, achieving high-level performance and motivation in their teams.
- CT5. Teamwork. The ability and maturity to develop the social intelligence necessary for efficient cooperation with others in the pursuit of a shared objective, participating actively and empathetically, and practising active listening as well as ensuring effective communication and respect for all team members. In the digital era, this efficiency translates into the ability to work with others in multi-platform, multi-cultural, multi-lingual and multi-disciplinary environments in a seamless manner, and achieving the established objectives.
- CT6. Critical analysis. Ability to integrate analysis with critical thinking in the process of assessing different ideas or possibilities and their potential for error, based on objective evidence and data, and leading to effective and valid decision making. This involves learning to locate, extract, analyse and interpret reliable information and data in order to study, examine and rationalise, in this way being able to reach a conclusion quickly and efficiently, as is demanded by today’s world.
- CT7. Resilience. People’s ability to adapt to adverse, unexpected situations that cause stress, whether at a personal or a professional level, overcoming them and even turning them into opportunities for positive change. This capacity translates into profound personal growth, making the person aware of their limitations, moving out of their comfort zone, learning from obstacles, developing emotional intelligence and learning to persevere in difficult situations.
- CT8. Ethical and social competence. Ability to perform in a professional context in an appropriate manner and to coexist with others in a plural society and a diverse world. The aim here is to help students to develop into responsible global citizens who are aware of inequalities and sensitive to diversity in a global world. Ethically aware and socially committed. International, multilingual, flexible and adaptable in multicultural environments.

- CE2: Ability to describe the basis of cellular functioning, both metabolically and in the regulation of gene expression
- CE3: Ability to describe and distinguish the structures and functions of the human organism at the molecular, biochemical and cellular levels
- CE4: Ability to analyse the molecular and cellular basis of disease, as well as the Cellular and physiopathological processes involved in major human diseases
- CE5: Ability to describe and distinguish the morphological, physiological and genetic characteristics of different prokaryotic and eukaryotic organisms important to human health, as well as cell-host interaction processes
- CE6: Ability to identify and analyse the structure and function of the main biomolecules that are part of living organisms, and their influence on human health
- CE7: Ability to define the structure and organisation of the human genome, and the mechanisms that regulate gene expression
- CE8: Ability to describe and explain the structure and function of the different systems that make up the human organism
- CE9: Ability to differentiate and analyse the molecular and cellular components of the immune system and the mechanisms that regulate the functioning of the immune response
- CE10: Ability to define and examine the molecular and cellular basis of diseases of the immune system, as well as the clinical implications and potential treatments
- CE11: Ability to identify and explain the main processes that regulate embryonic development and the factors that cause teratogenesis
- CE12: Ability to define clinical assessment techniques to identify different pathologies that affect human beings
- CE13: Ability to identify and analyse the molecular and cellular characteristics of cancerous processes
- CE14: Ability to define and distinguish the general principles of pharmacology and the molecular basis of pharmacological treatment
- CE15: Ability to analyse the different pharmacological groups and their application in terms of the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of human diseases, with special emphasis on side effects and adverse reactions
- CE16: Ability to list the major toxins that can affect human health, as well as their mechanisms of action, and the key treatments used in the case of poisoning.
- CE17: Ability to define the basic processes of design, production and clinical application of biotechnological and biosimilar drugs
- CE18: Ability to interpret the procedures governing the authorisation and marketing of chemical and biological drugs, as well as the regulations governing clinical trials
- CE19: Ability to analyse the basis of the experimental methodology and the tools available for the interpretation of clinical and experimental data related to health and disease
- CE20: Ability to organise and classify large volumes of clinical and experimental data using statistical and computer tools to identify information relevant to health and disease
- CE21: Ability to recognise statistical and epidemiological tools, and to apply them to the study of human health and disease processes, ensuring he validity and reliability of the interpretations
- CE22: Ability to analyse the basis of personalised medicine and the omic processes that allow the adaptation of treatments for each individual patient
- CE23: Ability to describe the general concepts of genomes and proteomes and the tools that allow their study and characterisation
- CE24: Ability to manage a biomedical company, in terms of procedures and production and of the decision-making process
- CE25: Ability to develop skills to perform experimental scientific methodology or bibliographic work in multidisciplinary teams at centres dedicated to basic, clinical and/or translational research
- CE26: Ability to analyse and understand current legislation on the protection of the fundamental rights, privacy and physical integrity of subjects participating in clinical trials
- CE27: Ability to describe and examine the procedures governing the drafting and management of R&D+i projects in the biomedical field
- CE28: Ability to develop an R&D+i project using the most appropriate methodology, in compliance with current regulations, legislation, and the principles of medical ethics in the field of biomedicine.
