Program Overview

Degree in Physics

The Degree in Physics is a 4-year programme designed to equip you with the skills and knowledge to understand and analyse how the world works, from the smallest structures to the largest. The academic model at Universidad Europea is based on experiential learning, so you will be able to apply the reasoning and physics theory you learn to real projects and practice.

Why study for a Degree in Physics?

Specialist fields

Being a physicist opens the doors to a wide-range of industries and research centres. Choose one of three specialist pathways: Computing and data analysis, Materials or Electronics.

During the first two years, you’ll study the basic principles of Physics and, once you’re ready, you can choose to specialise in one of three subjects:

  • Computing and data analysis with subjects as innovative as Quantum Technology
  • Materials: you’ll put into practice your Tissue Physics or Nanotechnology subjects in the Materials Lab
  • Electronics, the most traditional and versatile branch of applied physics. You’ll learn how electronic instrumentation works in practice.

Facilities

Use state-of-the-art facilities at the university and its main collaborating centres and institutions. Universidad Europea offers you a range of advanced facilities equipped with cutting-edge technologies so you can make the most of our innovate academic model:

  • Put your knowledge into practice in the new Physics Lab or in the Cisco Networking Lab, Fluids and Hydraulics Lab, CRAI Dulce Chacón Library or University Residence.

Research, business and real projects

We're in permanent contact with the main leading Physics institutions: the Spanish Association of Physicists, Materials Science Institute of CESIC and the Conde Duque Cultural Centre.

You’ll put your knowledge into practice by creating real projects: first year students have designed and built a Van der Graaff generator for demonstrating electrostatics in the classroom.

Strategic alliances and industry partners

At Universidad Europea, we have a network of strategic allies and industry partners that drive practical training and enhance the employability of our students.

  • Our strategic allies represent companies' commitment to working closely with the School on all aspects related to the design and delivery of its programs.
  • Our industry partners are linked to a laboratory or workshop, providing practical activities in areas such as artificial intelligence, digital twins, and virtual reality. All of this allows students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings, enhancing their professional preparation.
