Program Description

The MSc in Occupational Safety and Health at EUC provides students with advanced knowledge and skills to identify hazards, evaluate risks, and recommend control methods in different situations. Multidisciplinary in nature, the program equips students with high-level theoretical and practical training, including the fundamentals of engineering, psychology, sociology, and health sciences.

• OSA605: Risk Assessment & Management (10 ECTS)
• OSA610: Safety Technology & Professional Practice (10 ECTS)
• OSA615: Ergonomics, Psychosocial and Human Factors (10 ECTS)
• OSA620: Research Methods (5 ECTS)

Elective Courses

Students choose three (3) from the following courses:

• OSA625: Project Management (10 ECTS)
• OSA630: Process and Chemical Safety (10 ECTS)
• OSA635: Critical Entities Protection and Resilience (10 ECTS)
• OSA640: Fire Safety Management (10 ECTS)
• OSA645: Occupational Health and Wellbeing (10 ECTS)

Master Thesis

• OSH650: Master Thesis (15 ECTS)

Accreditation

The MSc in Occupational Safety and Health of European University Cyprus is the only IOSH accredited master in Cyprus. Students on the course are able to join IOSH as Student Members, Graduates meet the academic requirements for Graduate (Grad IOSH) membership, only one step away from Chartered Membership.
