English Studies
Master of Arts
The MA in English Studies at EUC offers students the opportunity to examine literary, theoretical and critical texts from a variety of cultural contexts, fostering advanced skills of comprehension, interpretation and analysis. A core feature of the program is the investigation of topics pertaining to Linguistics, Literature and culture(s) with courses such as English in Globalization, Theories of Literature, Postcolonial Studies, World Literature, Second Language Acquisition, Ecocriticism and English Language Teaching Methodology. This coursework enables students to develop practical and academic techniques for further research.
In addition to further academic studies, the program prepares graduates for careers in a variety of business and government or non-governmental sectors. Graduates are able to excel in careers such as teaching, marketing, NGO grant writing, web content development, administrative posts and journalism.
