Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Nursing (By Research)

Programme Overview

The Doctor of Philosophy in Nursing program is designed for students to conduct research in the field of Nursing Sciences. The students will be able to do interdisciplinary research related to the fields of nursing. It will be convenient for the students to pursue their independent research work through our specialized and well-equipped laboratories. Our University College is highly supported by qualified and experienced academic staff.


This program is intended for students who wish to advance their studies in this relevant discipline of study in nursing.


For successful completion of the PhD degree in Lincoln University College, each candidate needs to publish a minimum of two (2) research articles in Scopus-indexed journals and two (2) other indexed International Journals, with Lincoln University College affiliation.

    • Students will be assessed through presentations and assignments for the mandatory subjects in Semesters 1 & 2 included Advanced Research Methodology, Research Methodology, and Computer Applications.
    • Students have to defend their research proposal at Internal examiners.
    • Students submit thesis for Viva with Internal and External Examiners.

Attendance Policy

    • LUC requires students to maintain at least 80% attendance in each subject.
