The Doctor of Philosophy in Management is designed to develop critical and problem-solving skills. The course develops conceptual and methodological skills in the field of management. It helps foster independent thinking and conceptualize new ideas. The program teaches advanced skills in research. Apart from that, the Open Distance Learning (ODL) mode of the course helps students learn anytime, anywhere. Students will strengthen their independent learning skills. For successful completion of the PhD degree in management, each candidate should publish a minimum of four research articles in Scopus-indexed journals with Lincoln affiliation.

Programme Aim
A Doctor of Philosophy in Management has the objective of providing in-depth, advanced, and precise knowledge within a particular topic of management. It is the key element to understand the different components of management. The course aims to provide systematic and ethical knowledge. It creates an understanding of management and provides a holistic approach to management. The programme will make the candidates:
- Knowledgeable and skilled in the theory and practice of areas of Management with the concept of research work.

Entry Requirements
- A Master’s degree [Level 7, Malaysian Qualifications Framework (MQF)] in related fields as accepted by Lincoln University College Senate; or
- A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in non-related fields as accepted by the Lincoln University College Senate, subject to having relevant working experience* and rigorous internal assessment**; or
- A Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) in non-related fields as accepted by the Lincoln University College Senate and without relevant working experience, subject to passing pre-requisite courses**; or
- Other qualifications equivalent to a Master’s degree (Level 7, MQF) recognised by the Malaysian Government.
English Language Proficiency
- Achieve a minimum Band 4 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET) OR equivalent to Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) (Mid B2)
