Programme Overview

The Master in medical ultrasound program is designed to develop professional competencies by integrating high level clinical skills, theoretical knowledge. The Masters course focuses on clinical sectional anatomy, ultrasound of abdomen and pelvic organs, echo cardiography, clinical sonography and completes with an advanced case studies practicum. This program equipped students with intensive training in both the theoretical basis of medical ultrasound along with scanning and diagnostic skills. After completing this course student can move into administration, private industry, research, teaching or a highly specialized ultrasound technology field.

Entry Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MOH) in the field of Medical Ultrasound or other fields related to the program with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 or equivalent as accepted by the Lincoln University College Senate; or
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6, MOH) or equivalent in the field of Medical Ultrasound or other related areas that are not meeting CGPA of 2.50 may be admitted subject to 5 years of working experience in the related field.

English Requirements

  • International students must have proof of good proficiency in verbal and written English. For example, International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0 or its equivalent. If a student does not meet this requirement, HEPS must offer English proficiency courses to ensure that the student’s proficiency is sufficient to meet the needs of the programme.
