In the present scenario, there is a shortage of qualified nurse educators. Hence, the demand for nursing teachers is quite high. The programme deals with the teaching method along with the principles and methods that must be implemented by nursing teachers to achieve the desired learning goals. The programme is designed to guide nurses wishing for a career in teaching. This programme aims to equip individuals with the ability to apply and utilize a range of teaching approaches that will enhance teaching and learning.

Entry Requirements
- Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board;
- Has the Annual Practicing Certificate (APC);
- Have a Nursing Diploma or Nursing degree;
- Having a minimum of 3 years of experience working in clinical placements.

Teaching /Learning /Assessment
- Educational Psychology: Educational Psychology in teaching and learning, stages of human development, management of students with learning problems and sustainment of motivation among student
- Principle of Curriculum Development: Introduction to Curriculum development, Curriculum Development process, Curriculum Design and Curriculum implementation.
- Teaching and Learning: Instructional Design, Preparing Lesson Plan, Microteaching skills, Various teaching methods classroom teaching & Clinical teaching and Information Technology.
- Leadership and Management in Education: Leadership, Dynamic Group, Management and Continuous Quality Improvement
- Student Assessment: Assessment in Principle Strategies, Written examination, Constructed Respond Tests and Objectives Questions, Practical Tests and Moderation in assessment
- Clinical Practice: Develop and prepare lesson plan, Conduct Clinical/bed side teaching session, conduct classroom teaching, Observe classroom teaching/clinical teaching session and practical.
Attendance Policy
- LUC requires students to maintain at least 80% attendance in each subject.
- If your attendance falls below the required minimum, you will be barred from taking the final exams for that subject, and you might have to repeat the course in the following semester.
- Exceptions may be made for valid medical reasons, participation in university-sanctioned events, or other documented emergencies. Supporting documents must be submitted to the relevant department for approval.
