Programme Overview

The Master of Science in Healthcare entails a course of study in the area of healthcare and focuses on it in greater depth than a bachelor’s degree. A normal master’s degree can be earned in one to three years and gives students the in-depth knowledge they need to develop their careers in a variety of professions. A graduate with a Master of Health Science degree will have strong clinical research technique skills that they can use in their academic and professional pursuits. The course is designed for students who wish to learn how to use epidemiological and statistical techniques to assess and carry out clinical research. Clinicians and clinical administrators who complete the Master of Science in Healthcare program are given the leadership vision and operational abilities necessary to spearhead successful quality improvement and safety projects within their own healthcare organizations.

The program’s goal is to equip its graduates with the skills necessary to lead effectively in the fields of health promotion and education, healthcare systems, community health organizations, and other public health settings. The aspirants will be able to:

Entry Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 Malaysian Qualifications Framework, MQF) in the Health Sciences or related fields with a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.75 or equivalent, as accepted by the Lincoln University College Senate; or
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 MQF) in the Health Sciences or related fields or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 and not meeting CGPA of 2.75, can be accepted subject to rigorous internal assessment; or
  • A Bachelor’s Degree (Level 6 MQF) in the Health Sciences or related fields or equivalent with minimum CGPA of 2.00 and not meeting CGPA of 2.50, can be accepted subject to a minimum of five years working experience in the relevant field and rigorous internal assessment.
