Introductory Computer Science Supplemental Authorization
The Introductory Computer Science Supplemental Authorization (I-CS-SA) program supports teachers in attaining the introductory supplemental authorization in computer science. The Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) has authorized that the introductory supplemental authorization in Computer Science may be appended to a multiple or single subject teaching credential, to meet California requirements for teaching K-9 computer science courses. The authorization enables instructors to teach computer science topics at these levels, even if their baccalaureate degree was not in computer science.
