Master Global Sustainable Business Management Part-Time

About this programme

Do you want to be part of the transformation? This 24-month part-time master programme will give you the knowledge and competence to support future sustainable business practice on a global scale. Designed in line with UN Sustainable Development Goals, we have developed a curriculum that deals with real sustainability challenges in business. In 2 years you will graduate with a MSc in Global Sustainable Business Management.


Programme structure

The part-time programme is meant for students who want combine studying with work. Lectures will be scheduled for either two evenings per week or on Saturdays. Exact days are still to be decided. Combining work and study offers different dynamics to the classroom. If you are not working, we advise you to explore the 18-month full-time programme. This master will prepare you for business in a responsible way, having an eye to new business models compliant with the SDGs. You will develop knowledge, appreciation, and critical thinking on how the sustainability agenda is shaping contemporary management thinking and practice in organisations.

Dissertation

An individual project where you have to research a real-life, business-oriented sustainability problem. You draft the theoretical framework to address this problem, analyse the problem on the basis of this theoretical framework and draw conclusions about solutions.


Teaching methods and learning

Your tutors will use a variety of teaching methods including lectures, seminars, workshops and tutorials.


Research-rich learning

As a Master’s student you’ll develop your knowledge and research skills to a new, higher level. Throughout the programme you will be an active participant in the research-rich environment and agenda that is at the heart of the AUAS.


Admission

Admission requirements

The programme requires a relevant undergraduate degree, WO or HBO Bachelor, and English language proficiency at an appropriate level; either an IELTS score of 6.5 or an AUAS-recognised equivalent). This part-time master is meant for working professionals. If you will not be working during this programme, we advise you to consider the 18-month full-time programme.


Study load

25 hours per week

The Master's programme Global Sustainable Business Management is part-time, with a 24-month curriculum. This consists of three semesters of teaching and one semester of research. One semester is equivalent to 18 weeks. Lectures will be scheduled for either two evenings per week or on Saturdays. Exact days are still to be decided. The overall study load per week is 25 hours.

Tuition fees and expenses

Tuition fee 24-month programme: €16,034 euro for the two years. We advise you to check with your employer if a portion of the tuition fees can be covered by your professional development budget.
