Program Overview
Overview
Develop essential skills in brake system servicing, steering, suspension, wheel alignment, and electronic systems while earning apprenticeship technical training credit toward Interprovincial Red Seal certification. This training prepares you for diverse roles in the mechanics trade, including automotive service technician, parts technician, service writer, or service manager.

Admission Requirements
- C in English 10 or equivalent or successful English assessment
- C in Math 10 or equivalent or successful Math assessment for Trades
- Or successful completion of FSK 030 if the above requirements are not met
- High School graduation is preferred provided the applicant meets or exceeds the stated prerequisites

Completion Requirements

Foundation

Apprenticeship
Most apprenticeships take four or more years to complete, with 80% of the training at the worksite under the supervision of a certified tradesperson and 20% in-class technical training.
