Overview
The Indigenous Leadership Certificate is an academic credit program offered through Indigenous Education. It combines online learning with in-person, two-day gatherings on select dates throughout the semester. This program provides practical tools and knowledge to work at management and administrator levels of Indigenous organizations across Canada.

Learn about history, colonization, governance, leadership, policy, politics, community development, and key business functions like human resources and finance. The Indigenous Leadership Certificate combines online learning with in-person gatherings, allowing you to connect with peers, learn from Elders, and explore principles to empower community change. Face-to-face gathering dates and locations rotate between regions.

Completion Requirements
- A student will have up to five years to complete the program.
- A minimum of 70% of the program must be completed at North Island College.
