Course Introduction
This program is designed to provide students with a firm foundation in media production, communication technologies, and an understanding of social and cultural considerations. Students will learn about marketing and PR, work on storytelling in the digital world, and build practical media skills using cameras, audio equipment, and editing software.
How You Will Study
- Course Breakdown: 36 weeks of study per year, with 6 x 6-week blocks per year, and 1 subject module per block
- Subject Module Breakdown: 250 hours of study per module, with 80 hrs face-to-face, 20 hrs Digital Wednesdays, and 150 hrs independent study
- Assessment Breakdown: No traditional end-of-year exams, with 100% coursework in Year 1 and 100% coursework in Year 2

This program will give students a running start in a sports media career, whether they're keen to jump into broadcast, press, marketing, advertising, or public relations. Graduates will be suitable for a diverse range of roles, including advertising executive, content creator, social media manager, PR and influencer executive, communications officer, press officer, publicist, or partnerships manager.

- Accepted Alternatives: Functional Skills Level 2 (English and Maths)

- A Levels: BCC (104 equivalent)

- IB: 28 points with 14 from Higher Level Subjects

- Some qualifications do not carry UCAS Tariff points but may still be considered
