The BA (Hons) Acting for Stage, Screen & Digital Media undergraduate course offers rigorous, multi-faceted training that prepares you for the demands of the professional acting industry.


Through our range of specialist creative and artistic modules, you will graduate prepared for the ever-evolving requirements placed upon the contemporary actor.


This practice-based course gives you access to various actor training methodologies and approaches to ensure you graduate as a flexible and adaptable artist, ready to embrace our multi-media profession.

Level 4

  • In your first year, you will build foundational acting skills. You will explore vocal techniques and a variety of play texts, practitioners, and characterization approaches, building storytelling techniques essential for theatrical performance. You will learn basic dramatic principles, including the rules of improvisation, physicality, body language, character development, and status.

Level 5

  • In the second year, you will develop your foundational acting skills through specialized modules. You will gain practical key skills and techniques for contemporary performance and learn how to apply them to different camera setups, including the audition process.

Level 6

  • In the third and final year, you will consolidate the broad learning into your chosen project. The ‘Final Project’ module will allow you to critically evaluate your learning path, develop creative assets, determine your readiness for work in the creative industries, and ultimately create your own professional portfolio.

  • All applicants must successfully complete an entrance interview with BIMM University Berlin (details provided on application).
  • Academic entry criteria meeting a minimum of 80 UCAS points.
