Course Overview
The Level 4 Basics of Creative Coding is a new online short course for anyone interested in developing creative programming skills. It has been designed in collaboration with employers to ensure that it is industry-focused. No previous experience of computer programming is necessary.

Learning and Teaching
- The Level 6 Short Course is an online course.
- Learning and teaching involve working your way through a series of online asynchronous modules to complete the Unit.
- Teaching sessions are recorded and provide links to online resources to support your learning.
Assessment
- Assessment is the process of evaluating or assessing your learning.
- The University assesses you through the coursework that you produce as you complete the unit.
- The unit will require that you present a portfolio of work which may include finished pieces of work, written work, your research, and a reflective journal which allows you to evaluate your learning and highlight your strengths and areas for further development.
Entry Requirements
- UK and International: Completion of an undergraduate degree or sufficient evidence provided through work experience to show you are ready for the course.
Course Fees
- The Course fee for one of our short courses for both home and international students is £2,384 for the year 2025/26.
Course-Related Costs Not Included in the Fees
- It is expected that you will have access to your own computer.
- As the learning is online it will be necessary for you to have a secure internet connection and an up-to-date web browser to enable you to access materials and engage with the virtual learning environment.
