Take your managerial skills and expertise to the next level. Whether you're working in retail, hospitality and events, tourism and aviation or health, education and local government, our Operations Manager apprenticeship will equip you with the tools and knowledge to contribute to any organisation's operational goals and accomplish top-line objectives.
This Level 5 Operational Manager apprenticeship is a dynamic learning experience which supports the knowledge, skills, and behaviours for middle managers to develop a strategic approach. This apprenticeship also allows individuals to develop approaches to manage teams, individuals and projects effectively.
The programme covers a wide range of skills required by managers such as resource management, finance, coaching and mentoring, and organisational governance. Apprentices will also learn how to build and deliver operational plans which are aligned with the core values of their employer.

Entry requirements
Apprentices on this programme must have a minimum of a Level 2 in maths and English. We can guide you through your Level 2 functional skills in maths and English if you do not have them already. An initial assessment will be completed as part of your enrolment.
All apprentices must be employed full-time and their employer must be willing to support them through the apprenticeship.
Teaching and assessment
We use a wide range of assessment strategies to support all styles of learning including:
- written assignments
- practical observations and projects.
On completion of the apprenticeship, all learners will undertake an end-point assessment which is comprised of an observation, a test and an interview supported by a portfolio of work. The end-point assessment takes place with an independent organisation. On completion, they will advise you of your grade.

Fees
As an apprentice, you won’t need to pay tuition fees. Both your employer and the government will cover these costs for you. This extends to degree apprenticeships as well, allowing you to gain valuable work experience and academic qualifications without tuition expenses.
