Build the Skills to Edit Digital Video Using Adobe Premiere Pro
This course is for anyone who wants to learn Adobe Premiere Pro up to an advanced level, and edit videos for different platforms, including web and social media. You don't need to have any video editing knowledge or experience.
How You'll Learn
Our online short courses are delivered through Microsoft Teams, ensuring a seamless learning experience. Each session starts with a live broadcast from the tutor to introduce the topic and guide you through the resources. Our online short courses include various learning methods such as videos, quizzes and exercises. The tutor remains available online for real-time support, making learning effective and enjoyable.
Session Details
- Session one (3hrs): Creating basic projects, understanding the interface, importing footage, video resolutions, video clip and sequence settings, creating an initial edit/sequence, editing and handling video clips, organizing projects
- Session two (3hrs): Adjusting audio volumes, different editing tools, adding hold/still frames, cleaning up and organizing a timeline, using markers, understanding J&L cuts, editing application settings and preferences, applying effects and transitions, encoding and exporting video, project organization – labels, folders etc.
- Session three (3hrs): Making a sub-clip, animation and keyframes, blending modes, adjustment layers and masks, importing Photoshop files, creating multicam sequences, editing tools
- Session four (3hrs): Importing image sequences, masking, ultra key effect, track matte effect, adding and editing tracks
- Session five (3hrs): Production workflows, adding and editing text and creating lower third graphics, nesting sequences, creative commons licensing, different camera shot types, royalty free content, crop effect
- Session six (3hrs): Recording a voiceover, cleaning up a recording - removing noise and reverb, the essential sound palette, scaling and positioning clips in a sequence, archiving a project, colour grading
- Session seven (3hrs): Introduce Gmetrix practice exams, recap the ultra key effect, recap the track matte effect
- Session eight (3hrs): Go back over aspect ratios, resolutions and frame rates, review different types of camera shots, review the creative commons licensing
Key Information

- Certificates and digital badges: After the end of the course will take the Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) exam. On passing the ACP exam will earn you the Adobe Certified Associate accreditation. You'll receive a digital badge for social media platforms like LinkedIn and a digital certificate.

You will need access to a laptop/desktop computer (Mac/PC) with Adobe Premiere Pro installed.
Entry Requirements
There are no entry requirements for this Adobe Premiere Pro course and previous experience is not necessary, however, you should be confident in the use of IT generally.

He delivers a range of Adobe and Microsoft courses, including Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) qualifications. He holds a degree in Sustainable Product Design and a PCET teaching certificate, and has served as a Senior Technician at Falmouth University for over 20 years.
