Course Details
SketchUp is a versatile tool for modelling simple products and spaces, such as furniture or a room/building. The software, in its most basic form, is free and runs within a web browser. You can also easily view your files on a mobile app, whether on a tablet or phone.
This course will equip you with the necessary skills to get started with the software and create simple visuals and models. These files can then be further developed and promoted using other programs, such as Photoshop or Blender.
How You'll Learn
Our online courses are delivered via Microsoft Teams, ensuring a seamless learning experience. Each session begins with a live broadcast from the tutor, who introduces the topic and guides you through the resources. The courses include a variety of learning methods, such as videos, quizzes, and exercises. The tutor is available online for real-time support, ensuring the learning process is both effective and enjoyable. Our blended teaching approach combines live and pre-recorded content, offering flexibility to learn at your own pace.

Course Lead
Matthew Abbott is a Digital Skills Trainer at Falmouth, specialising in Microsoft Office 365 and Adobe Premiere Pro. He delivers a range of Adobe and Microsoft courses, including Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) and Adobe Certified Professional (ACP) qualifications. He holds a degree in Sustainable Product Design and a PCET teaching certificate, and has served as a Senior Technician at Falmouth University for over 20 years.

Computer & Software Requirements
You will need a stable internet connection and ideally a two-button mouse with a scroll wheel. A free Trimble account is also required from Trimble.
